This university prep course will give you a better understanding of world politics and Canada’s international role in cooperation and conflict resolution, with a particular focus on the history of Israel from antiquity up to the current Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In a world polarized by this conflict, where campuses have become hotbeds of Palestinian activism, Jewish students are ill-equipped to deal with the issues they will face. This course will equip you to successfully confront bias on campus. You will also examine case studies related to modern human rights issues, and analyze various leadership techniques as how they apply to human rights, social responsibility, management of group dynamics, conflict resolution and cooperation.
